"Happier of happy though I be, like them I cannot take possession of the sky, mount with a thoughtless impulse, and wheel there, one of a mighty multitude whose way and motion is a harmony and dance magnificent." William Wordsworth
An attempt to photograph (how ever badly!) every UK species I've seen, in no particular order. My birding has been mostly limited to the counties of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and, occasionally, Warwickshire.
Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus) [female or juvenile]. Distant record shots (100% crops) at Gallows Bridge Nature Reserve, Buckinghamshire, 7/12/2011. My first sighting of this species. Glad to have caught the distinctive white rump but it's another sequence I hope to update with better shots in the future.
