"Happier of happy though I be, like them I cannot take possession of the sky, mount with a thoughtless impulse, and wheel there, one of a mighty multitude whose way and motion is a harmony and dance magnificent." William Wordsworth
My first sighting of this lovely passage migrant species was at the Bedfordshire Farm on Sunday 5th Oct. Unfortunately, the bird stayed fairly distant and there was no opportunity for photographs. Thankfully, it was still there on Friday and, even in high winds and a real mixture of sunshine and showers, the bird was a lot closer. It wasn't straightforward though as all too often the view was obscured by the fence, tufts of grass or other vegetation. Really pleased to come away with the following photographs.
