Rock Pipit (Anthus petrosus littoralis), Marsworth Reservoir, Hertfordshire, 19/03/2013. I was back at Tring reservoirs on yet another cold, grey, wintry March day, in search of Spring migrants. And, fortunately, it didn't take more than 10 minutes before I found one! This lovely Pipit was contentedly feeding along the W/NW bank, by the footpath. Last year, the first migrant Rock Pipits at the reservoirs were found 2 days earlier (17/03/2012).
