"Happier of happy though I be, like them I cannot take possession of the sky, mount with a thoughtless impulse, and wheel there, one of a mighty multitude whose way and motion is a harmony and dance magnificent." William Wordsworth
Over the past few months, this fearless, young Grey Heron has become a regular feature along the NW shoreline of Wilstone Reservoir. I had been waiting for an opportunity to photograph it when the light was right and the bird had chosen a perch I could work with. On this particular afternoon, everything came together and I spent a good hour with the bird. Unfortunately, it wasn't interested in fishing during that time, so, it was a case of capturing its movements.
